Explanation
The Trans Canada Trail is a shared-use
recreational trail that will eventually wind its way
through every Province and Territory in Canada. The
Trans Canada Trail is a community-based project. It will
be owned, operated and maintained by local
organizations, Provincial authorities, national agencies
and municipalities across Canada. To the extent
feasible, the Trans Canada Trail will be a shared-use
trail, accommodating five core activities: walking,
cycling, horseback riding, cross country skiing and
snowmobiling. The Trans Canada Trail Foundation and its
Trail Councils do not endorse the use of motorized
vehicles in the non-winter months on the Trans Canada
Trail. For more information, visit:

The BC Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and
the Arts manages a number of recreation campsites in the
Watershed. These rec sites are designed to be rustic;
therefore, improvements are kept to a minimum.
Facilities usually consist of outhouses and
log-and-plank picnic tables. For more information,
please visit: http://www.tca.gov.bc.ca/sites_trails/index.htm.
There are also several BC Parks campsites
at Cultus Lake Provincial Park and Chilliwack Lake
Provincial Parks. Finally, a number of privately owned
campsites are in operation in the valley.
