Purpose
To show the history of forest fires in
the Chilliwack River Watershed.

Explanation
This map shows the
areas disturbed by wildfire in the Chilliwack River
watershed between 1935 and 1990. The largest fires
occurred in 1938 (8001 ha), 1958 (875 ha), 1946 (306 ha)
and 1967 (214 ha). All other fires were under 200 ha in
size.

limitations. The data has come from many different
sources collected at different times and therefore there
are variations in the information provided. In
addition, the spatial accuracy of both resource and
